FAQ

An FAQ widget is a tidy, interactive list of common questions and their answers — the block that handles objections before they reach your inbox. WidgetCraft's FAQ widget takes a heading and a set of question/answer pairs and renders them as a clickable accordion, a flat read-through list, or a two-column-style stack, theme-aware so it reads cleanly on a cream page or a colored panel.

FAQ is the disclosure block for any showcase, portfolio, or service Mizu. You give it a heading and an array of {question, answer} pairs, and it renders them in one of three layouts. 'Accordion' (the default) is fully interactive: click a question to expand its answer, with the first item open by default — set defaultOpenIndex to open a different one, or null to start fully collapsed, and turn on allowMultiple to let several answers stay open at once. 'List' shows every answer at all times for a quick read-through, and 'two-col' presents questions and answers stacked (at the ~420px width every embedded widget is capped to, it collapses to the same clean stacked list — no cramped columns). Because the surface stays transparent and every color comes from the universal style controls, the same FAQ reads correctly on a light background or a forest-green zone: text uses your text color, answers use the muted color, the open question's marker uses your accent, and the dividers use your border (falling back to muted). It ships with four believable, brand-neutral example questions — turnaround, pricing, process, and revisions — so a freshly-dropped FAQ looks finished, and you replace the content in the inspector.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What layouts are available?

Three: accordion (click a question to expand its answer — the interactive default), list (every answer shown at once for a flat read-through), and two-col (questions and answers stacked, which collapses to a clean list at embed width). Pick one in the LayoutPicker when you drop the widget.

Is the accordion actually clickable in the embed?

Yes. The accordion is interactive on the live page — clicking any question toggles its answer open or closed. By default the first item is open; everything else starts collapsed.

Can I open more than one answer at a time?

By default opening a question closes the others (single-open accordion). Turn on allowMultiple in the inspector to let several answers stay expanded at once.

How do I set which item starts open?

Set defaultOpenIndex to the zero-based position of the question you want open on load (0 is the first). Set it to null — or 'none' — to start with everything collapsed.

Will it look right on a colored background?

Yes. The widget never paints its own background — it stays transparent and inherits its colors from the style controls. The question text uses your text color, answers use the muted color, the open question's marker uses the accent, and dividers use your border (or muted). Set the text color to cream and it reads cleanly on a dark forest panel.

Is this widget free?

Yes. WidgetCraft widgets are free to embed and customize. No signup required, no per-render fees.
