A forex widget is a live currency exchange rate tracker for any embed surface. WidgetCraft's Forex widget shows daily ECB-sourced rates for any major fiat pair — USD/EUR, USD/JPY, USD/KRW, GBP/USD, and more — pasteable into Notion finance dashboards or trip-planning notes as a single URL.
Forex is a data-live widget backed by ECB (European Central Bank) reference rates via the Frankfurter API, refreshed daily. Three layouts ship: card (single pair, big rate + 24h delta + pair label), watchlist (multi-pair list with per-row rate + delta), and big (single pair, oversized number for hero modules). Pair format is `BASE/QUOTE` using ISO 4217 codes — `USD/EUR`, `USD/JPY`, `GBP/USD`, etc. ECB updates rates once per business day in the afternoon (Europe/Frankfurt time), so the widget shows yesterday's close for most of the day — accurate for travel planning, dashboards, and reporting, not for active trading.

Which currency pairs are supported?
All major fiat currencies tracked by the ECB — USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, NZD, KRW, CNY, HKD, SGD, INR, BRL, MXN, plus most others. Construct any pair by joining two ISO codes with a slash.
How current are the rates?
ECB publishes reference rates around 4pm Europe/Frankfurt on every business day. Our cron polls Frankfurter daily, so the widget shows the latest published rate — typically 1 business day fresh.
Why don't the rates match my bank's rate?
ECB reference rates are mid-market. Your bank or money-changer adds a spread (often 1-3%) on top, and the actual rate they offer is different. For travel planning the ECB rate is the right benchmark; for a transaction quote, check your provider directly.
How do I add multiple pairs?
Pick the watchlist layout in the builder and pass comma-separated pairs: `?pairs=USD/EUR,USD/JPY,GBP/USD`. The widget renders one row per pair with current rate and 24-hour change.
Are crypto rates supported?
No — Forex is fiat-only via ECB. For BTC, ETH, and other crypto, use the dedicated Crypto widget which is backed by CoinGecko.
Is this widget free?
Yes. ECB reference rates are public domain and Frankfurter is a free API; WidgetCraft passes through the data with no per-render fee.
