Social Links
A social-links widget is a horizontal row of platform pills — GitHub, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and more — that takes one line of configuration and produces the canonical link to each profile. WidgetCraft's Social Links widget is a single-paste embed for Notion profiles, link-in-bio pages, portfolio headers, and team directories.
Social Links is one of WidgetCraft's identity primitives — a horizontal pill row showing a chosen subset of social platforms with each platform's glyph and your handle. Supported platforms include github, twitter, linkedin, instagram, youtube, twitch, email, bluesky, mastodon, threads, dribbble, and figma — with WidgetCraft generating the canonical URL for each (e.g. `github=username` becomes `github.com/username`, `twitter=username` becomes `twitter.com/username`). Click any pill to open the profile in a new tab. The compact horizontal layout works as a footer accent in a portfolio, a hero strip below a bio, or as the only widget on a minimal link-in-bio page.
Questions, answered.
How do I configure the links?
Pass a comma-separated list of `platform=handle` pairs in the inspector's Links field, e.g. `github=username,twitter=username,linkedin=username-studio`. Order matters — the pills render left-to-right in the order you list them.
Which platforms are supported?
github, twitter, linkedin, instagram, youtube, twitch, email, bluesky, mastodon, threads, dribbble, figma. Each has a glyph and a canonical URL template baked into the widget.
Can I use a custom URL?
For platforms in the supported list, just provide the handle and the widget builds the URL. For arbitrary external links (Substack, your blog, a custom site), use the Link Card widget instead — it accepts any URL.
How does email work?
Pass `email=hello@example.com` and the pill becomes a `mailto:` link that opens the visitor's mail client. The pill shows an envelope glyph and your email address.
Does it follow the page's theme?
Yes — Social Links honors the universal style controls (background, accent, text color, corner radius, border, shadow, font family). The platform glyphs use the accent color so changing the accent re-tints the entire row uniformly.
Is this widget free?
Yes. WidgetCraft widgets are free to embed and customize.
